The CMCE (Multiple Electric Field Compensator) inhibits atmospheric discharges and prevents lightning strikes within a protected area. The operating principle is based on balancing or compensating the variable electric field of the environment, preventing the formation of the upward leader on the CMCE unit as well as structures within the protected area.
