Using deionization technology, the CMCE eliminates the scientific elements that create lightning and prevents it from striking in a protected area. The CMCE inhibits atmospheric discharges and prevents lightning strikes within a protected area. The operating principle is based on balancing, or compensating, the variable electric field of the environment, preventing the formation of the upward leader on the CMCE unit as well as structures within the protected area.
