About Us

IFD Technologies has been supporting utilities with the IFD Sensor for over 25 years. This is a low cost mechanical sensor that provides a visual indicator when a distribution transformer has experience an internal fault. The visual indicator alerts line workers to not re-energize the transformer which can prevent a catastrophic failure, keeping the line worker more safe and allowing the utility to get the power on faster.
